How many CLE hours can I take through Attorney Credits?

How do Attorney Credits' CLE courses qualify for credit in North Dakota?

Our online and downloadable on-demand CLE courses qualify for self-study CLE credit in North Dakota. Fifteen hours of self-study are allowed during each reporting period. The State Bar Association of North Dakota does not pre-approve self-study work.

There is no special requirement. Please note that the initial reporting period for attorneys begins the July 1 following the date you are admitted to the State Bar Association of North Dakota.

Yes, up to 15 hours of general credit may be carried forward to the next compliance period. Please note that ethics credit may NOT be carried over.

Does Attorney Credits verify my completion?

No. North Dakota attorneys monitor their own progress and verify their own completion once the course has been completed.

Does Attorney Credits report my CLE hours to the State Bar Association of North Dakota?

No. Attorney Credits does not report your completed courses to the State Bar Association of North Dakota. We do maintain a record of all your completed courses and you can access your certificates of completion at anytime from our website.

How do I report the completion of my CLE requirement at the end of my compliance period?

North Dakota attorneys must self report online courses through their SBAND profile at: https://www.sband.org/login.aspx and report your CLE compliance at the end of your three year compliance cycle by completing and returning the Report of Compliance to the State Bar Association of North Dakota by July 31.

You can access AttorneyCredits.com and complete your ND CLE courses on most computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones so you can study your ND CLE courses where it’s convenient for you! Attorney Credits’ streaming video, MP3 & Video Download ND CLE courses qualify for North Dakota continuing legal education credits as self-study CLE courses. Under the ND CLE Rules, North Dakota attorneys may complete up to 15 CLE hours through self-study North Dakota CLE courses as part of the 45 hour North Dakota CLE requirement.

Attorneys admitted to the State Bar Association of North Dakota must complete and report 45 hours of accredited ND CLE activities every 3 years, including the 3 hour legal ethics requirement. North Dakota attorneys must complete their ND CLE hours by June 30 and report ND CLE compliance by July 31. North Dakota attorneys may satisfy up to 15 CLE hours each compliance period through online on-demand ND CLE courses offered by Attorney Credits. Online and downloadable CLE courses are considered self-study by the ND CLE Commission. No more than 15 total North Dakota continuing legal education credit hours may be obtained through Attorney Credits’ self-study ND CLE courses. North Dakota attorneys are responsible for their own record keeping of ND CLE activities completed. If you are required to report your ND CLE compliance this year you can go to the State Bar Association of North Dakota website and print out a report of compliance. The North Dakota CLE Commission does not pre-approve self-study work, but the specific self-study activities must be listed on the report of compliance.
