Attorney Credits' MT CLE courses have all been pre-approved by the Montana CLE Commission. Montana attorneys must complete 15 credit hours every year, including 2 credit hours of legal ethics or professionalism (substance abuse courses also qualify for ethics credit). A maximum of five (5) credit hours of online CLE courses may be applied to the annual MT CLE requirement. The compliance period ends on March 31 and the deadline to report your MT CLE compliance is April 1. However, there is a 6-week grace period during which you may earn and report MT CLE credits without penalty. Attorneys may carry over 30 "live" credit hours from one compliance period to the next. Please note that online CLE credit hours may not be carried over to the next compliance period.
