Ron S. Brand focuses his practice on providing legal advice, guidance, and representation to employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including defense against Federal and State-based wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, discrimination, wage and hour, whistleblower, defamation, breach of contract, fraudulent inducement, and other similar claims brought by current and former employees. He represents employers in both Federal and State courts, and before administrative agencies, including the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Mr. Brand also has substantial experience in business and corporate litigation (including claims for breach of contract and shareholder and partnership disputes), unfair competition litigation (including claims for breach of fiduciary duty and loyalty and claims of intentional interference with actual and prospective economic advantage), and trade secrets litigation (including claims of misappropriation of trade secrets).
Prior to joining JDTP, Mr. Brand was a Partner at the Irvine office of a national civil litigation firm as well as a Partner at the Irvine office of Fisher & Phillps LLP, a national labor and employment law defense firm. He was also an Associate in the Litigation Group of an Illinois-based law firm.
