Tennessee Attorneys must complete 15 credits, including 3 ethics/professionalism (E/P) hours, each annual compliance period. A maximum of eight (8) hours of credit per year earned in a distance learning format approved by the Tennessee CLE Commission may be applied to the annual TN MCLE requirement. The compliance period begins on January 1 and ends on December 31. The deadline to report MCLE compliance is March 1. Attorneys may carry over 15 credits for a period of 12 months. If your Tennessee attorney CLE hours are not completed by December 31, you will owe a $100 non-completion fee and you will still have to attend the required CLE hours.Under Tennessee Rule 21, the final version of the Suspension Order will be sent to the Supreme Court on August 15 if you still have not completed your mandatory CLE and it will be entered at the Court's discretion.
