Utah attorneys must complete and report twenty-four (24) hours of accredited Utah CLE activities every two years, including the legal ethics and professionalism and civility requirement. During each reporting period, Utah attorneys must complete three (3) credit hours of legal ethics. At least one of the three legal ethics hours must be in the topics of professionalism and civility. Attorneys must complete their Utah Continuing Legal Education hours by June 30 and report MCLE compliance by July 31. Utah attorneys may satisfy up to twelve (12) CLE credit hours each compliance period through online and downloadable courses. Online and downloadable CLE courses are considered self-study by the Utah CLE Board. No more than twelve (12) total credit hours may be obtained through all of the following activities: teaching, presentations, writing/publishing, and self-study CLE courses.
