How many MCLE hours are required?

12 hours - including 1 hour of legal ethics and 1 hour of professionalism & civility.

How many MCLE hours can I take through this site?

A maximum of 6 credit hours each year. We only offer on-demand courses and they don't count toward Verified E-CLE.

When is the reporting deadline?

July 31

How do Attorney Credits' MCLE courses qualify for credit in Utah?

All of our online and downloadable on-demand MCLE courses have been approved for MCLE credit by the Utah State Board of Continuing Legal Education.

What is the requirement for newly admitted attorneys?

New lawyers must complete the New Lawyer Training Program and 12 accredited MCLE hours.

Does Attorney Credits offer courses for newly admitted attorneys?

We do not offer the New Lawyer Training Program. These programs are only offered by the Utah State Bar. Newly admitted attorneys may complete the 12 accredited MCLE hours through Attorney Credits.

Can I carry hours forward to the next year?

No. Utah does NOT allow MCLE credit hours to be carried over from one compliance period to the next.

Does Attorney Credits verify my completion?

No. Utah attorneys monitor their own progress and verify their own completion once the course has been completed.

Does Attorney Credits report my MCLE hours to the Utah State Board of Continuing Legal Education?

Yes, Attorney Credits does report your completed courses to the Utah State Board of Continuing Legal Education. We will report your course attendance within 30 days of course completion. Our automated reports run on the 1st and each Thursday of the month.

How do I report the completion of my MCLE requirement at the end of my compliance period?

You must file a Certificate of Compliance before July 31. You can access your MCLE records at the Utah website here: https://services.utahbar.org/Login?.

How can I request my MCLE transcript report?

To request a transcript please click the link below. The Utah State Board of Continuing Legal Education will email you a PDF copy of your MCLE history for the current reporting period. This report will contain the MCLE information that has been received and entered by the Utah State Board of Continuing Legal Education. Please note that MCLE providers have up to 60 days to provide attendance information and the transcript may not reflect the most current MCLE information. http://www.utahbar.org/mcle/mcle-request-a-cle-transcript-report.
