How many MCLE hours are required?

Twelve credit hours every year - including 2 required hours of legal ethics.

How many MCLE hours can I take through Attorney Credits?

All 12 Oklahoma CLE credit hours can be completed online through Attorney Credits.

How do Attorney Credits' MCLE courses qualify for credit in Oklahoma?

All of our online and downloadable on-demand MCLE courses have been approved for MCLE credit by the Oklahoma Bar Association.

What are my MCLE compliance and reporting requirements?

What is the requirement for newly admitted attorneys?

There is no special requirement for newly admitted attorneys. Please note that Oklahoma attorneys are exempt from the MCLE requirements for the remainder of the calendar year they are first admitted to practice.

Can I carry hours forward to the next year?

Yes, up to 12 credit hours may be carried forward to the next compliance period.

Does Attorney Credits verify my completion?

Yes, under the Oklahoma MCLE Requirements we must monitor your completion of the course. For online streaming video courses you must click on randomly inserted pop ups to confirm that you are viewing the video. For downloadable courses we have embedded numeric codes in the courses. You must write these numbers down and then enter them on our website after you complete the course to obtain your course certificate. Please note that the date you enter the codes and get the certificate is the date that will be printed on the certificate.

Does Attorney Credits report my MCLE hours to the Oklahoma Bar Association?

Yes, Attorney Credits does report your completed courses to the Oklahoma Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Commission. Our automated attendance reports run on the 1st of each month and every Thursday. We report through their website normally within two business days of the report running. In addition, we also maintain a record of all your completed courses and you can access your certificates of completion at anytime from our website.

How do I report the completion of my MCLE requirement at the end of my compliance period?

If you have all of your required Oklahoma MCLE completed by December 31, you do not have to file an Annual Report of Compliance. If you have NOT completed all of your required MCLE by December 31, then you must file an Annual Report of Compliance. In mid-January the Annual Report of Compliance is mailed to all Oklahoma attorneys whose records indicate that they have not completed the required MCLE. When you receive the Annual Report, you must make any necessary additions or corrections and return the Annual Report to the Oklahoma Bar Association by February 15.
