Each member of the Florida Bar is assigned a reporting date and beginning 1/1/2017 is required to attend 33 hours of approved courses for Florida CLE credits every three years. Florida attorneys must complete 5 credit hours in the area of ethics, professionalism, substance abuse, or mental illness awareness each three-year compliance cycle, including the newly established 3 credit hours of approved technology courses. Members are required to report CLE hours earned every three years. Attorneys are assigned a date when their Florida CLE credits are due upon registering with the Florida Bar. You may find your reporting date on the mailing label of The Florida Bar News. New lawyers are assisted in the transition from law school to law practice through the Basic Skills Course Requirement (BSCR).
