How many CLE hours are required?

Forty-five credit hours every 3 years - including 7 hours of legal ethics of which a minimum of 5 hours must be in ethics or professionalism and a minimum of 2 hours of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (EDI). The EDI requirement begins with the 12/31/2023 compliance deadline.

How many CLE hours can I take through Attorney Credits?

All 45 credit hours.

How do Attorney Credits' CLE courses qualify for credit in Colorado?

All of our online and downloadable on-demand CLE courses have been approved for CLE credit by the State of Colorado Supreme Court Board of Continuing Legal and Judicial Education.

What are my CLE compliance and reporting requirements?

Reporting Cycle: 3 years
Compliance Deadline: December 31
Reporting Deadline: January 31

Is there a special requirement for newly admitted attorneys?

No. However, please note that the initial compliance period for newly admitted attorneys includes the balance of the year they are admitted to the Colorado Bar plus the 3 following calendar years.

Can I carry hours forward to the next year?

No. Colorado does NOT allow CLE units to be carried over from one compliance period to the next.

Does Attorney Credits verify my completion?

No. Colorado attorneys monitor their own progress and verify their own completion once the course has been completed.

Does Attorney Credits report my CLE hours to the State of Colorado Supreme Court Board of Continuing Legal and Judicial Education?

No. Attorney Credits does not report your completed courses to the State of Colorado Supreme Court Board of Continuing Legal and Judicial Education. However, we do maintain a record of all your completed courses and you can access your certificates on the Certificates page in your account. Colorado attorneys are required to self-report their completed courses on the Colorado Supreme Court website: https://cletrack.com

How do I report the completion of my CLE requirement at the end of my compliance period?

Colorado attorneys are required to self-report their hours through the CLE online affidavit system on the Colorado Supreme Court's website at https://cletrack.coloradosupremecourt.com. If you have already completed your Colorado CLE requirement, during the last year of your compliance period the State of Colorado Supreme Court Board of Continuing Legal and Judicial Education will send you a confirmation e-mail that your CLE requirement has been completed.
