State Reporting

Vermont attorneys self report their compliance. Before June 1 of your reporting year, the Vermont Board of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education will send you an MCLE compliance form. You must submit the compliance form stating completion of the MCLE requirement by June 30.

State Rules

Vermont attorneys can complete up to 10 of the 20 required CLE credits online through Attorney Credits. A minimum of 2 hours of legal education must be devoted specifically to the area of legal ethics.

Newly Admitted Attorneys

Every attorney admitted to the Vermont Bar must attend at least 15 hours of continuing legal education on Vermont practice and procedure in courses approved by the Board of Continuing Legal Education and certified by the Board of Bar Examiners. Attorney Credits does not offer these newly admitted courses.
