Minnesota attorneys must report the completion of their CLE requirement to the Minnesota Board of Continuing Legal Education through their OASIS website at: https://oasis.cle.mn.gov.

Specialty Requirements

Legal Ethics or Professional Responsibility - Minimum Credit Hours Per Cycle: 3
Elimination of Bias - Minimum Credit Hours Per Cycle: 2
Mental Health & Substance Abuse - Minimum Credit Hours Per Cycle: 1

Compliance Requirements

Reporting Cycle: 3 years
Compliance Deadline: June 30
Reporting Deadline: August 31

State Rules

Minnesota attorneys can complete all required 45 CLE credit hours online.

The MN Supreme Court now requires a minimum of 1 credit hour of Mental Health and Substance Use in each reporting cycle. Category 2 lawyers due to report in 2025 will be the first group of lawyers subject to this requirement.

Newly Admitted Attorneys

New lawyers have a full three year reporting period, plus the balance of the year that the lawyer is admitted.
